John Tavares doesn't waive for Montreal.

Carey Price doesn't waive for Toronto.

And there's a good chance of Carey Price going on career ending LTIR, before playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Domi and strome would be a couple decent adds if they had the cap?

TO will never be able to trade JT. He specifically signed with TO to come back home. I believe the HABS either matched or offered more than what he signed in TO,

TO offered 7 years and the HABS offered him an 8 yr contract (something of that nature)

If JT accepts I`m good with the Trade

The Habs would not have been able to offer him an 8 year contact. Only the Islanders could.
