Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Smith Retires, need somebody more experienced than Skinner to take over.. If there's more that needs to be added to a deal, I'd move on and let the Leafs overpay if he waives for either team..
I like Gibson, just not for a severe overpayment, and he could be the missing piece behind a better D Core, and much better team overall than Anaheim..
Feel Like the Deslauriers deal would be a bit of a long shot for slightly more than $1m(I'd go upwards to $1.75m for 2 years to try secure him)...
4th line can be somewhat interchangeable, Shore, or Malone, possibly bring in another bottom 6 C to also interchange Ryan on the 3rd or 4th line whenever need be, make the 1st call up should there be any injuries in the top 9 for Carter Savoie....
Again for this, it's more curiosuity of how the cap looks should a couple people be shipped out and Smith retires(hopefully he does), while I don't see Keith retiring, but maybe with Kulak signing he doesn't need to play 20+ mins a night, that can be shared with Kulak..

"I like Gibson, just not for a severe overpayment"

Thats the issue, the Ducks have no real reason to move him for anything less, especially in division

Yeah, I understand that, but that's when I would possibly walk away from him, and maybe look to Kuemper and try outbid Colorado a bit(say $6mx4 years) should be enough time and money to lure him when Colorado will be strapped soon enough with Mackinnon's new deal and such, plus should be enough time for Skinner to develop into their go to, or see if Fanti/Rodrigue surpass him..

Kuemper, Campbell, Ullmark, Varlamov, Blackwood would all be better options for the Oilers imo

Gonna have to find another spot for Foegele. Columbus just doesn't seem to deal in cap dumps and their roster is very full at wing anyway.
