Trades
1.
VAN
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (CAR)
MTL
  1. Dickinson, Jason
Additional Details:
MTL lacks center depth. Dickinson is a 3C that didn’t fit in Van but would give MTL cheap C depth for low cost late 3rd.
2.
VAN
  1. 2022 6th round pick (ARI)
ARI
  1. Poolman, Tucker
  2. 2022 4th round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
ARI takes on LTIR Poolman to move up into 4th round.
If Poolman returns from injury he would be vet depth on blue line and then be a deadline trade in a few years. Low risk chance to have a desired RHD for deadline.
3.
VAN
  1. Schneider, Braden
  2. 2024 1st round pick (NYR)
NYR
  1. Miller, J.T. ($2,625,000 retained)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (VAN)
  3. 2024 3rd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Canucks pay up to land future top our RHD. NYR have stacked RHD for next decade. Need boost for contender status in east. Van eats half salary to give them extra cap for run, and pays two thirds to up pick value to a first rounder.

I wouldnt count Simoneau, he'll probably never make it at his stature. Maybe he'll play for Laval, but I would put Oliver Kapanen over Simoneau and MYSAK

Montreal is rebuilding. And they're all better than Dickinson.

Factually correct, but still wasn’t my point. Dvorak will be gone by the time Wright can be a top 6 C.

True forgot about him! But, simoneau could pull a Desharnais! Not saying it’s gonna happen but I wouldn’t count him out just yet

What will the Habs get for that 3rd rounder from the Canes this year?

I'm not, I just value Kidney Mysak Kapanen over him right now in that order

IDK, right now that'll be the 7th time Montreal makes a pick. Its so far down the list that no one is even speculating.

The Rangers deal is interesting. Schneider is a stud but if Nils can break out in the same capacity this is a no-brainer.

Rangers EASY PASS. Schneider isn't available for trade, especially for a 1 year JT Miller rental.

It's not so much about the trade value. It's the fact that Montreal doesn't have any money to go out and acquire players.

Nils and/or Schneider would only be moved for a young center. Any miller trade makes the rangers better for a single season and then removes a ton of value from the team because we've lost a cost controlled asset in the one we traded away, and a bigger hole in 2c because our kids werent given a shot at the spot.

Schneider isnt being moved for Miller.
