What they should do

Created by: Db1899
Team: 2022-23 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 17, 2022
Published: Jun. 17, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
There is no path to contention next season. If the isles trade away expendable assets like Mayfield and Valamov , they can set themselves up for the future by drafting two high end forwards. Nazar should be a top 10 pick , but a lot of mock drafts have him going in the 12-16 range. He would be a steal at 13. Yurov has one of the highest ceilings in the draft and with the Russia situation he could fall to the 20s.

Chiarot had a better reputation even though it wasn't deserved

Mayfield definitely has a similar reputation and he’s cheaper than Chiarot too if Mayfield is up for sale at the deadline he’s 100% going for a first

You didn’t play hockey and it’s clear to anyone who read ur messages. Ur the type of fan who can’t actually analyze the game and then you rip everyone else to shreds. Ur gonna call me dumb when your the guy trashing entire fanbases on here? Get real.

He doesn’t know anything that isn’t coming from evolving hockey. The game isn’t played in a vacuum and u can’t isolate a players stats because the game is played at 5 on ****ing 5. No system to calculate that will ever be perfect. It’s not even a debate.

I understand the graphs. The difference between you and me is IK they aren’t perfect. It’s very clear to me that u never played hockey cause u can’t tell me why a player struggled only that he did. L

No you don't , I played hockey in college lol but ok man you do you.

The Avs and Lightning have come out and said that they let analytics and these graphs play a big role in trades and lineup decisions. Are you saying theyre wrong for doing that? How's it working out for them?

Cause public analytics are bull****. It’s basically just bloggers with charts they don’t understand.

No they’re not bull**** 😂 they just tell the on ice impact there’s a lot more underlying things that can affect a players performance- System, teammates (some what), confidence etc but it’s easily the best way we have to understand a player rn

It’s useless dude. I hate to tell u this, but the credibility of these guys is in the basement. It’s the same as listening to a Canadians fan say Josh Anderson is worth the 13th pick lol.

nope, at the time Manson was traded he had a solid two way impact, his teammates on Anaheim didn't finish the chances he created. If you know how Colorado operates, you'd know that they target players who have shown the ability to drive play even if their GF isn't high

No I understand them. Just don’t think they r perfect. Mike Reilly is a good example of a d man who grades out well despite the fact he isn’t playing a big role for his team. He barley penalty kills and I don’t think he plays big minutes on the PP either.

no you do not understand them. A smart person would not sh*t on a tool that is a big reason why the lightning and avs are in the Stanley cup finals

I never said they were perfect they’re the best thing we got to understand a player atm and Reilly is solid 5 on 5 defenceman he’s more offensive which is why he doesn’t play pk and Boston has McAvoy which is why he doesn’t play big pp minutes

yeah jfresh shows that Manson is a solid two way defenseman, which is what the Avs wanted.
