From Detroit's perspective, I'd take Okposso for that

Man that is a lot to give up for Chychrun, not saying the value isn't correct, but with Dahlin, Power, and Samuelson I just don't think it's a good use of assets.

Why are you giving away Okposo? He is on the last year of his deal, the team captain, and scores 20 goals last year.

No reason to do KO trade. If you wanna do everything else, just dump Girgs for not nearly what you had to for KO, and tap into that LTIR

There's so much wrong with this.

Okposo is potentially the captain next season, not paying to dump him after he just scored 20 goals and was a major leader for the team.

Samuelsson was playing over 20 minutes a night and more than holding his own, not sending him to the pressbox.

Tage broke out finally as a center, moving him back to wing is a complete waste.

Kilingberg is not worth 9.5 million and is not the type of dman the Sabres need with Dahlin and Power already on the team.

Chychrun is unnecessary with a left side already having Dahlin, Power and Samuelsson. Dahlin was even moved to RD to get Samuelsson on the top pairing.

Gus is one of their best defensive players and plays an important role from the 4th line, Marchment isn't worth the potential for him to regress after what could be an anomaly season.

No Asplund on the roster who just had an excellent season in a defensive role even getting some Selke votes.

No Bryson who is a solid 3rd pairing 7D who will re-sign for a very reasonable cost.

Strome i would not touch especially at that term, same with Manson.

Good luck signing the RFA's over the next couple of seasons when they come due (Cozens, Dahlin, Tage, Krebs, Samuelsson, etc.)

If I’m DET I’d accept.

Also, do the Sabres need Chychrun? Their D depth seems stacked. Too much for Chychrun in my opinion too.

No way the Sabres are moving okposo. They need the cap hit. Plus there's other stuff like he just scored 20 goals and apparently he has value for hid leadership. They certainly aren't paying to move him.
