Brown and joshua have been good there, tho maybe we can move on from kostin as i think he needs a change of scenery at this point and we resign bozak?

Brown has only played wing, dude, and he is in no way suited for the role. Joshua is fine for fill-in depth, he's not nearly good enough with the puck to be the guy. I kinda doubt Bozak is back. He didn't have a great season and I think they need to find someone to pass the torch to. As you know, I'd like to snare Sturm.

But how do you even get this change of scenery idea? Based on what? Development is rarely linear. It's not microwave popcorn. And from what I've seen and heard, Kostin has really been plowing the road on this Calder Cup run. Ya don't just dump young players who have a fixable struggle. If teams did that, they'd all have like 1 or 2 players max.

I just feel other players will out depth kostin soon if he doesnt pick it up more so is what i meant.
I like strum. what about accari too for the 4C slot as he good on defense, id like him too

I'd prefer Sturm. He's younger, stronger and would be nipped off Colorado.

And Kostin doesn’t need a "change of scenery " - he needs to come back better like all good players do. If he doesn't, that's another matter, but he's had one real stint with the big club up to now.

Brown was impressive in his limited time and definitely shows the vision to play center. If he’s willing to play a 200 ft game he’s well suited for a 4c.

Brown played center this year and is a natural center, he'll be fine there. However, this deal doesn't get Chychrun. Barbashev and Scandella are not the type of players Arizona are looking for.

Also, Blues fans have to realize Perron isn't signing for less than 5 mil. That is already taking a team discount

I definitely feel it's worth keeping Kostin around. Give him another real shot next season to play in the top 9 at some point. I still think he's going to be a beast once he puts it together and gains some confidence. We have a lot of guys that can play the 4th line well enough, someone will have to figure it out at center, I think Brown/Joshua can if we do ship Barbie which I think may be the right move.

Brown was okayish. Vision is not the primary attribute you want in a 4C. And being willing doesn't make one able. Think of all the attributes Bozak has brought, and then ask yourself how many of those you feel confident Brown can do for a contender.

No he didn’t. He predominantly played center when he played with Toropchenko and Walker on his wings…

Which was 63 of his 397 minutes of ice time, and that was the only line he centered the whole season.

Having vision is something a good center needs. It’s not the only attribute necessary but Brown showed great instincts and was hungry for pucks.

He needs the opportunity

Yeah, he needs an opportunity, but he has to earn it and there's no good reason it has to he as the 4C. He has not shown any sign to date that he can lead the checking line. He has always been more a pass first offensive player.
