Description
Let me know your thoughts on this... Would love to see Evander Kane back on the team, but I just don't see it possible at like $6M AAV with Keith still on the team and without trading Puljujarvi for some assets. If trying to trade Kane, Kubalik would not be an option, and JP would go, and then would need to pick up a 3L RW for like $1.5M. Tough job nonetheless.

After a quick skim through Dallas, looks like they could be light on left wingers... Keep in mind I skimmed for 2 minutes.

Foegele has more value on the open market than that.

No way does Bromberg play ahead of Subban

Husso is at least 5M with 10 teams going after him, 4 million doesn’t get you into the conversation.

I appreciate the comments. Would like to get your thoughts on this... What would Foegele warrant in a trade where we just want to receive picks? Are you thinking he gets a third rounder?

Also in an ideal world they could play the 11 & 7 system they used for a good chunk of the year, and then that way you could roll broberg and Subban? Broberg will need to get some TOI to start seeing that NHL play.

I would only feel comfortable signing Husso at $4.5M max... If more, I would go look at someone like Kuemper with a larger sample size... TBH I think Colorado moves on from Kuemper and goes for someone like a Gibson or Bob...

This is just me, it’s my opinion and it may not be worth much. Having said that, I have to many questions about Husso, would Oilers be buying a goalie who got hot for a year? He’s really not proven like the goalies you mentioned, Kuemper being the goalie I’d go for.
Then, as you also mentioned Gibson and even Soupy Campbell all proven.
As for Foggy, I’d like to see a Soucy trade or similar type player like Sissons or go after Labanc (might have to add a prospect) I think Foggy just needs a different team but he’s a good player certainly worth a player in return. I don’t see any prospects the Oilers have that can move into his spot next season either.

Well Kuzmenko is gone so they really need to find another cheap top6 at a low value.

Foegele value is fine. He didnt put up any stats and isnt a commodity on the market.

I agree. Colorado isnt signing Kuemper. They have about 25Million in salary increases if they want to offer Kadri, Burakovsky, Nichushkin, Manson, Lehkonen contracts. With success you have to prioritize and an older injury prone goalie should be last for an awesome team.

They have a lot of options in free agency, wait a day or two and they should be able to afford an option like Holtby or Wedgewood. Gibson and Bob's NTC make it impossible with Edmonton on both, guaranteed.

Yeah after making this team I have started to think prioritizing Kuemper is a solid choice. Like you said idk if Avs will sign him back, if if/when they win the cup. I feel like knowing COL they will make a big splash in the market for a goalie this off season, will be a questionable signing or trade for them, but it will pay off like always lol. So I was thinking about this too... Do you think Soucy becomes negligible if you sign Kulak back? Having both of them would be awesome, but there might just be no point to that hey? I would love to hear what Bob Stauffer has to say on how they are going to have more cap space than we think lol.

Ya, I think the Av’s make a push for MAP and he takes a discount to play for them, making Kuemper open.

Great thing about Soucy is he can play both sides. If the Oilers sign Kulak it wouldn’t be a terrible idea getting him though.
