Trading Millet to a divisional rival like Vegas is going to make Millet’s price tag even higher. I think this deal can be beat

Okay now where’s the other half of the offer?

What is going on in your life that Miller autocorrects to Millet?

I think this trade makes sense for Vancouver. They get Brendan Brisson a center who is listed as the 26th best NHL affiliated prospect on Craig Buttons end of season rankings. The also get a good young right handed 3C in Roy and a 1st rounder.

As a Vancouver fan I hope so, but I think this is more than a fair offer. I would prioritize a good young RD if one can be found/had, if they can't find a suitable one then center is also a position of need both now (3C) and in the future (2C).

Nah, it's still kind of underwhelming

I think Miller gets a good return, I don't think Vancouver is getting a much better return that the 9th best NHL affiliated center prospect (according to Button), a good 25 year old 3C and a 1st. Call me a pessimist I guess...

I guess

I would ask Vegas to add at least a 2nd rounder on top of the rest of your proposed package

I wouldn't say no to that, I would be interested to see what VGK fans think of this deal overall. VGK are a team with an impatient owner and making big additions year after year so knows, it's possible they might add a 2nd.

Given Vegas’ cap crunch, that retention should cost them some assets. A second round pick is more than fair for the retention

I would prioritize Whitecloud over anything else from Vegas.

As a Vegas fan I would would decline that offer. Value isn’t too far off though. I don’t want to get rid of 3 years of a great, dirt cheap prospect and other valuable assets. Also, Vegas has a higher need for powerplay goalscorers and not powerplay distributers. At even strength we need more speedy forwards. In my opinion Miller isn’t a great fit. No way Vegas adds to that deal.

Nope, it's typical Vegas fans not understanding the actual valuation of their own team's players

Every team has a fraction of it's fanbase who overvalue their own players yes, but they don't by any means represent their entire respective fanbase
