Gee, quite an assumption that Pasta signs an extension.

I don’t think you understand who Gritsyuk, he is dominating the KHL at an extremely young age that is similar to the likes of Panarin, Kaprizov, and Kucherov. Scouts and analysts are saying he is the next Kaprizov. He is a better prospect then holtz at the moment

Bad posts shouldn't be allowed on CapFriendly but they are.

Holtz has been playing very well in the AHL but has been unable to translate to the NHL unlike other Devils prospects. Plus the KHL the 2nd best league in the world. If you are dominating in that league there is a good chance you can be a solid NHL players

Its not that he's available. He grew up a Devils fan and said he'd love to play for us. We as a fanbase all hope he joins us at some point.

A lot of players say they don't want to leave their current team, yet they do.

He’s played 9 games…

Gritsyuk has been unable to dominate the NHL either. He had 28 points in 39 games. Great for a 20 year old, but that’s not /dominating in that league/

Holtz just put up one of the better D+2 AHL seasons we’ve seen and is still a tier above Gritsyuk, both based on the likelihood he is a full time NHL player, and in his ceiling as a prospect. Best case scenario for Gritsyuk is what? A solid middle six winger. Best case for Holtz is a 40g top line winger with one of the best shots in the league. It’s really not close.

All I'm saying is don't count your chickens before they hatch.

He was born in New Jersey and grew up a Devils fan. A lot of players would take the opporunity to play for the team they grew up rooting for.
