Huge overpay for Zadina. Vegas will want to keep their 1st round picks too + I don't see how this trade makes sense for Vegas

Detroit takes that and runs, A late 1st round pick in the deepest draft in recent memory is more than enough for Filip Zadina.

I did a Vegas trade like this once but it was zadina and a 2nd for Martinez and Roy. Obviously Detroit takes that deal everyday but I think a more balanced deal with these 2 teams could happen.

Seems I’ve overvalued Zadina. I will say points aren’t the best measure. Zadina was criminally unlucky this season for someone with his shot, and he’s also a few years younger than Roy. And he’d be an perfect fit for Eichel.

Zadina + 3rd
for Patrick + Martinez + Brossoit + 1st

This isn't that good of a deal for Zadina.

The 3rd is payment for Martinez, it's what he's expected to cost. That leaves a bust in Patrick and a backup goalie we don't really need in addition to the late 1st.

This is essentially two players without value + a late 1st for Zadina. I'd think about it but it's not obvious that I'd accept. If Patrick was replaced with Roy then it becomes an interesting deal for Detroit.
