It’s not tho. Go for it next year. Deeper free agency and draft to suck for.

That's not enough value for Chychrun in my opinion. Even with the #8 pick coming back the Yotes are asking for either Edvinsson or Cossa, and it's fine if you think that price is too steep. Wallinder is a good prospect and i'm not saying he isn't but the 2nd and 6th rounders really don't move the needle so the trade is really #8 and Wallinder for Chychrun and I just don't think that's enough. Now if it's 8, Wallinder, and Söderblom that could be a deal, or #8 and Edvinsson that's a deal. But as currently constructed, not enough

Detroit should not be in on Chychrun for what he'll cost. That return doesn't get him and at the same time, it's too much to give up.

If we really wanted Puljujarvi it would probably be better just to offer sheet him.

21 pts, -20 +/-, and injuries in 47games. Agree DET shouldn’t be in on him, but his values lower than it’s ever been and I don’t think he’s getting much more of a return than that. Yotes should hold on to him anyways and hope he rebounds.

Unless AZ gets blown away they'd be mentally deficient to trade him and this offer isn't a blow them away offer

Don’t disagree with you there. An overpay to pry him away essentially.

Sure on the Jesse Puljujarvi trade.

Arizona passes not the Jakob Chychrun trade, Unfortunately not enough.
