If the deal happens after July 1 he can sign a deal right away, Miller to Pitt makes a lot of sense as Miller would have no problem signing there as he lived in Pitt

How many teams are going to be able to both afford his extension and be someplace where he wants to actually sign though. That can’t be that many teams.

True but if you look at it there are at least a handful of teams that meet that criteria so a bidding war will most likely happen

Well that’s my point who can afford to trade and extend him without destroying their cap situation? It’s easy to say there are teams, but what teams do you view as pulling off such a deal?

If that is true, why do all the fool Canuck fans keep posting trades of him to the Rangers, a team that can't sign him?

You should ask the couple of Canucks fans who do that. Every other Canucks fan on here is smart enough to know that

Marino, Kapanen for Garland, Schenn

Vancouver needs to add overall, but the Pens already have a bunch of Schenn's anyway. If they bring in a D it is going to be something that they don't have.

Pens counter: Marino for Garland, 3rd

Couple? I have seen at least a dozen Canuck fans post trades of Miller to the Rangers.

My point is you should ask them when you see those posts. Most of the Canucks fans I know of on here do know that the Rangers and Miller isn't happening

Interesting I have never seen him traded on here to anyone but Pittsburgh, Rangers and occasionally LA.

Because CBJ WSH BOS LA aren’t good destinations
CBJ won’t trade prime assets for J.T
BOS don’t have the cap space
WSH doesn’t have the assets to acquire Miller

Washington has McMichael, Lappiere, Iorio, a 1st, and a 2nd that they can easily offer for Miller
