i just like garland more than marino, and I think that pittsburghs first next year is likely more valuable than NYR. But yeah, it doesn't need to be in there.

The Hoglander for Liljegren swap, I saw in a Toronto post the other day, and I think it could work well. I like Hoglander's potential and I won't be mad if they hold him, but if they get Kuzmenko, he becomes slightly expendable. Could massively help our RHD issues.

Fair point, I am almost in a "Jesus take the wheel" mentality with Allvin rn, he just seems more confident than jimbo

I'm just so ready for the off-season. As long as I see moves that show a true direction for the franchise, I'll be happy. If that means tanking, so be it, but go ALL in on that direction. I have so much more faith than I did last year at this time, which is very nice lol

lilly had a good end of the year right? What do you value him at? What will he get on his next contract?

Big no from the Leafs - Liljegren is looking to make the top 4 on a more permanent basis this upcoming season. We’ve got a huge drop off in skill after Brodie on the right and nobody signed past 2 years from now. Nothing against hoglander, but a cost controlled, skilled RD is too important 2-3 years from now than a winger.

He will get a short bridge. 2-3 years. 2-3m. His numbers say top pairing rhd. I agree with those numbers.

Another Canuck fan trading JT to the Rangers, SHOCKING!! Easiest PASS in history for the Rangers.

sounds like something the canucks could use. Are you a fan interested in JT miller? If so, what kind of package (including lilly) would you offer?

Nope. Well not a fan of moving him to Toronto. Leafs aren't a team that likes renting high profile players. Unfortunately Lilly is also exactly what the leafs need. It's too bad you are all jammed up on lhd. There is a small chance Sandin may be moved.

I agree with this big time. Pick a direction and stick with it. I don't care what that direction is but whatever it is just be fully committed to following it through.

Bad timing for the Hoglander trade. Liljegren is a young defenseman at the most valuable position in hockey, RD, who has been pushing upwards in the lineup during his first NHL season. Hoglander is a young winger, the least valuable position in hockey, who has been pushed down the lineup in his 2nd.

Another trading Ferland to Vegas because??

I think 2.5 a year is right on the edge of what Vegas can afford this year for Roy.

I always see this and I need to correct it. The most valuable position is centre. Especially top 6.

As a Canucks fan, I like some of the framework here, but there's a clear over evaluation on some of the pieces being shipped out:

    - Myers might be worth a 4th or 5th with no retention, maybe a 3rd at 25% retention and a 2nd with another late pick if it's a full 50%

    - Could maybe massage Lillegren out of TO? Seems like it would be more of a package deal (Lille and Kerfoot for Garland, Hoglander and a 3rd? Leafs would probably only do this if they can get an RD they want in the draft or FA)

-NYR says hard no on that Miller trade. They offered that deal without Kakko at the deadline, maybe they say yes after this playoffs if you take out Kravtsov.

    - The Roy deal might be the only one I see an overpay for? Cap space is too valuable for them (I think they have 16 roster players under contract and they're still over the cap), feel like you could do Roy for Ferland straight, maybe with some massaging.

    - I wouldn't trade Dickinson or DiPietro yet, poor performances sure, but Dicky played well on the wing and can still centre if someone goes down, and Dips is still young, could figure it out. Give it to the deadline next season.

-I couldn't see Hextall and Burke of all people trading for Garland. Boeser maybe if they could clear cap space up, but maybe it would make more sense to do Marino, a 1st and a tier 2-3 prospect for Boeser and a 3rd?

Detroit aren't looking for RD so it'll have to be one of the other 30.
