Yuck from Winnipeg. Those are nice add on pieces for a Scheifele trade without retention, but you're missing the main, starting piece.

What more do you think you're getting for him lmao? What more do you want than a good top 4 D, a prospect, and a 1st? Quite frankly even that is an overpay for someone as terrible defensively as Schiefele

Lol. Name any team that would trade a consistent PPG 1C for that and retain on him.

If the Jets trade Scheifele they'll get more than a small offense only, no defense, middle pairing guy that they don't need, a bust and a late first a year from now.

You're retaining for 1 year. Calm down. His offensive impact is also negated by how terrible he is defensively.

You're simultaneously overrating Schiefele and underrating Girard. I don't think he's as good as some say he is, but NHL GMs will definitely value a relatively young top 4 D who's signed to a reasonable contract for many years to come very highly.

You're simultaneously overrating Girard while severely undervaluing Scheifele. Everything that you say about Scheifele's value being lower due to defensive lapses also applies to Girard, who provides nothing outside of points. Then you factor in that as an LD Girard is the absolute last thing Winnipeg needs since they have 3 NHL calibre LD already with another 3 that are NHL ready in the wings. Girard for that reason alone holds no value to the Jets.

Some GM's that need an offense only LD would value Girard, but there would be far more that value a consistent PPG 1C on a bargain contract.

1C is an infinitely harder position to fill than second pairing LD. It's a very easy no for Winnipeg.

Schieffle leaves a bigger hole for the Jets than Girard leaves for the Avs, unless an elite LD comes in return. Schieffle services are more valuable to the Jets in the end of day
