Kase hasn’t earned that salary. He still has to demonstrate that he can play close to a complete season.

Nucks trade is good. Leafs get a bit more size and grit, Nucks get a bit more speed.

If Kase wants anything above 2 million I think the Leafs walk away from his QO, Zach Aston Reese would be a nice fit on the shut down line in his place

Caps trade is awful. Nylander isn’t enough for Wilson alone, so dumping mrazek equals a 5th and Vanecek?

Toronto fans still flogging the dead Muzzin-back-to-Los-Angeles horse they had to dig up first . . .

. . . as if Muzzin would approve the trade in the first place.

Just out of curiosity, how do Maple Leafs fans think the mechanics of this transaction would unfold? Doesn't it occur to anyone that before Dubas could make this offer to Blake, he'd have to go to Muzzin and ask him to waive his NTC?
