Add that 2023 first being top 10 protected and if it moves to 2024 it becomes the latest of Philly’s firsts and I think you got a deal

Flyers decline. Way to much for Miller. Not getting Foerster and Attard.

OTT declines, Garland is the exact opposite of what OTT needs.

2nd line winger with term and favourable value that can hit 60 points is exactly what Ottawa is looking for.
In fact that is what Dorion has said.

Your so welcome. Flyers still will say no. Not worth giving a first and 2 A level prospects for Miller and to drop 1 year of JVR.

Garland could be a good target for Ottawa (if they miss on bigger fish like Giroux, Fiala, Forsberg, etc, which will probably happen)

My only concern is Garland size because the other guys on his line would (eventually) be Ridly Greig (6'0, 174 lbs) and Tim Stutzle (6'0, 196 lbs)

They might get a bit bigger but they'll never be like the Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson line.

I wouldn't worry, Garland is pretty good at playing above his size and weight class

Don't think Miller is signing a 7x7.8. That long of term he is likely going to be asking 9+ a year.

I think if the AAV starts with a 7, then he’s signing with the Canucks. Doesn’t matter the term

No way they get that kind of protection on the pick when it's the premium asset of the trade. There would almost certainly be some form of lottery protection on 2023 but if it shifts to 2024 it would be unprotected Philly pick.

Lmao "A level prospects" they're both B level prospects at best.

Foerster is clearly an A level prospect. You haven't a clue what your saying when it comes to flyers prospects. Hush.

Foerster is A level. Top prospect for the flyers right now. Potential to be a solid top 6 player in the future.

Tyson and Ronnie are probably more than enough to land Miller… but that pick is just an insurance piece to land Miller and move JVR… you’re very much over valuing Miller here.. he is great, but he isn’t top 10 pick and 2 high prospects great… and Ronnie has developed at a fantastic rate, he looks to be on Sanhiem’s level soon so yeah, that’s an A prospect by my book since Sanhiem is a borderline elite 2-way D after that type of season

You know what, you're right I will concede they're not B level prospects. They're probably both somewhere in the B+ to A- range which is very good. Top 6 and top 4 upside on both of them but not really elite upside like an A prospect. Still just the two of them wouldn't be very close to landing Miller but the 1st round pick probably makes it happen. The third is extra compensation for taking JVR. But still having said that there's no way that pick wouldn't slide to an unprotected 2024 1st. No team would accept the slide to be the later of 2 1sts.
