I like a good troll every now and then, but this isles/Arizona trade is overkill. I’m not sure I want to know how you came up with it. 😜😂Jk

Sabres would have less than zero interest in Palmieri. They have a ton of wing depth and are not looking to add vets that will take ice time away from the kids. Also I don't think Palmieri will get a first anymore based on his contract.

Not sure why Buffalo would do that either. Plus Palmieri has a full NTC. Vegas trade is just ridiculous for both sides. Taking on Martinez for a Pacioretty who was hurt for most of last year is a risky move to say the least.

He finished strong and had bad puck luck. But he probably wasn’t worth a first when the isles dealt for him. And he has a full NTC.

two words "Connor Bedard" I'll roll the dice and not looking forward to paying Barzal 9 or 10 mill or whatever his qualifying offer is after next year. Could be a grand slam or inning over

You make no sense. You’re not tanking here, you made the isles the most mediocre team in the NHL by signing a middle 6 center in Kadri and a 2nd pair D in Chychrun. The isles wouldn’t make the playoffs in this scenario , they’d pick 14th or 15th overall

They are not finishing in the bottom 3 with a 1st line of Keller-Barzal-Beauvillier

And you have a soon to be declining Kadri 6 years so Bedard has no path to making the team

If this happened before the season the Yotes wouldn’t finish last. If Arizona got the 1st pick they would just keep it.

If he wasn’t worth a 1st when the Isles dealt for him,
then he’s obviously not worth a 1st now

There’s just zero chance the Sabres do this
Even if the price for him was reasonable, a rebuilding team like Buffalo isn’t gonna have much interest in an aging Vet who had a mediocre season

Thanks anyways, Sabres pass

Lou traded a first and second to get Pageau.
A first and and a fourth to get Palmieri.
And believe it or not he traded a second for Greene.

Meanwhile the dude didn’t resign Toews cause he burned 5 million dollars on Leo and Hickey. Plus he overpaid for Lee and probably overpaid for Eberle too.

Yeah, u guys are moving in the wrong direction
U think Lou is on the “hot seat” if the Isles struggle again next season?

He should’ve been fired this year. I’m of the opinion that both Lou and Barry were at fault for this season. Should’ve kept Gustaffson and had Salo in the pros all year. Wouldn’t have been ideal to go with a rookie and Gustafsson, but Chara and Greene were horrendous.

They wanted Greene to break 1,000 games. They wanted Chara to break Chellios’s record. And they cared more about that then winning.

Obviously the trade, and the whole premise quite frankly, is ridiculous, but "Bedard has no path to making the team" is nonsense as well. There's absolutely no reason why someone couldn't move to wing. Nelson has played a ton of LW in his career, and there's no reason Kadri couldn't shift over as well. And even those moves assume that they wouldn't ease Bedard in as a wing as a rookie.

The islanders are not going to accommodate a young player , even if the player has a chance to be on the same level as Matthews or Mcdavid.

Kadri has the potential to be the worst UFA signing in NHL history, the islanders shouldn’t consider signing him
