Additional Details:
Don't care which team tbh. Maybe a 6th or 7th rounder for Ryan. I like him, but want to pick up a bigger more aggressive guy like Nic Deslauriers
4.
EDM
  1. Soucy, Carson ($1,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Retaining some salary as it prevents them from sending a pick along. I think Barrie could fetch an additional 3rd or 4th round pick. And Seattle wants to keep as many picks as they can.

EDM
  1. Kubalik, Dominik [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
I'm thinking Chicago lets him walk and won't qualify him. So this trade is him just turning into a UFA to acquire. If people don't think they would let him walk, then I would try working out a trade (probably a third rounder as his last two seasons were not great)

All the Signings are fair imo, Foegle will cost more to get traded so Dallas might not be in the race but someone looking to take on salary will take the deal if a pick goes the other way as well.

Arizona is not going to give up that for Kassian.

I think Foegele could be useful LW on Dallas or Detroit. I would probably be satisfied with a 5th rounder instead.

I think Edmonton would have to be the team sending back picks to Seattle in the Barrie deal, not the other way around. Without retaining salary I could see a 4th or 5th going with Barrie and with that retained salary, at least a 3rd if not more.

I can get where you are coming from, but I feel as though everyone is undervaluing Barrie. He had a good defensive year (especially compared to last year) and he is a great PP QB, exactly what Seattle needs. I could agree with a fifth going back to retain salary, but I wouldn't say a third rounder.

Tyson Barrie would be the highest scorer on the Kraken on a 2 year span and cost less than 5 million for a trade where they send a bottom 4 Defenceman. Barrie is being undervalued because his contract is a bargain for his point production placing him 7th in the league in Defencemen for 1 whole decade

Arizona gets a 2022 1st, Personally I'd just buy out Kassian in Edmonton and lose the ~670k

Seattle won't be contending for the two years remaining on Barrie's contract and he'll be 31 before the season starts -- exactly the kind of veteran on whom rebuilding or developing teams won't expend assets acquiring. Moreover, this increases Seattle's cap hit by $3 million this season -- again, not normally a desired result for an expansion team.

Barrie certainly has value to a contending team -- like Nashville, or like Calgary or Pittsburgh if they fail to re-sign their own or some other high-ticket UFA. But out-of-the-money teams like Seattle or Anaheim aren't good prospective places for him.

Very logical reasoning. I appreciate the feedback/shared knowledge (unlike how I have seen some people just say "trash, or never going to happen". I think if a trade did go down with Seattle and Barrie, it would help even out the defensive/offensive guys. Barrie could help increase D point production compared to guys like Larsson and Oleksiak. Pair up big Oleksiak with Barrie and then Dunn with Larsson, that is a solid top 4. But I know they aren't going to be cup contender for years to come, but a solid D allows the forward prospects to develop better (although I think they need to make some grand additions to their forward group). If Seattle wants to see a pick back, I say they add in a guy like Geekie and eat half the cap of Soucy for a high pick (or picks). Geekie would be a good trade chip, but also great to keep on the roster.
