Most of these moves seem reasonable, but I don't see Philly saying yes to that trade.

The Kane trade isn’t good for either side. Philly would rather keep the fifth overall pick and Chicago can get more than that for Kane especially at 50% retained.

OTT would just make that trade with PHI if they wanted him so badly.

CAT move is underwhelming IMO.

the 5th is good for Kane but I don't see this move being beneficial for PHI as they won't really be challenging. Kane should go to NYR with Breadman and if they don't sign Strome we can make a deal with them at 50% retained.

The Toews move seems viable for all involved tho would revolve around if he wants to go and if he wants to go to WSH. We may add one of our D prospects like Kalynuk/Beaudin to sweeten the deal.

#20 for Kane (-$4M)

The Caps are willing to keep talking, but this isn't it. Kane (today, it's not 2018 as a reminder to some commenters) at $6.5M cap hit is not worth #20. However, close enough that talks can continue.

I think this is something washington considers if some other options like Miller, Kadri, FF, Gaudreau don't work out. I think Toews' reputation still brings a first, but if I were the caps I would try to get that price down a little bit.

Is JVR really worth 2+4 at his cap hit?

Damn that'd be a disappointing offseason for the Sens... again (got used to it with Dorion)
