I think the Leafs would rather match that offersheet than use that cap on Josh Anderson

that josh anderson trade is truly horrific for the leafs, dubas would never do that, and if he did he’d be run out of toronto immediately

Tor says no thanks rather not trade three top prospects including whoever is taken 25 for josh who was traded for domi and a third once. He isn’t making up this I saw it in the article. It said “ Timothy or Rasmus, first, and one of Knies, Robertson, or topi. Zucker has a Full NTC too. Probably won’t want MTL.

Tbh I don’t think the leafs wanna do Andersen straight up for any of the 3 we don’t need the cap and those are some of our best prospects

Jeff Petry is heavily linked to Dallas and Detroit, He'll be on one of those 2 teams. Doubt he'd even waive for Pittsburgh when they're trending down and Dallas and Detroit will be trending up.

Would love to have Josh Anderson, but we aren't trading our next Josh Anderson in Matthew Knies

Pens have also called and i think it makes the most sense to go there based on their window.

What window? Their window is basically closed, There's a good chance that both Letang and Malkin are gone. And when Sid leaves in 3 years that team will be heading for a full blown rebuild.

Zucker, 1st for Petry

Make the 1st a 2nd, if not a 3rd and the Pens say yes. A 1st is a no.

My hot take: by his third season in the League, Knies will exceed Anderson's best year (27-20=47), also achieved in his third full year. But it won't take Knies the two warm-up seasons first.

Someone (not from Detroit) would waive for Detroit because it is trending up and not for Pittsburgh because it is trending down... LOL (capital letters)

Much like his other great moves like Foligno for a 1st, or Marchment for Malgin, or the Kadri trade or the Tavares contract

If Letang leaves, Petry is the replacement. Malkin will resign at that point or theyll go after another 2C. Still makes them a very good team. And you have to go for it every year until Crosby retires

LOL And Pittsburgh could be losing Letang and Malkin so yeah they're trending down. Pittsburgh is closer to a rebuild then winning their 4th cup in 25 years.

You saw what this team is, they're no longer the cup team they once were. Their window is closing big time they might have one year left and they're no way near being the best team in the east Boston, Washington and Pittsburgh are all on the decline. And Petry taking over for Letang isn't going to change one thing.

I think Pittsburgh should move on from Letang and Malkin before thy literally Red Wings their team. But your original comment is still stand-up quality.
