laugh laugh So Pat Verbeek eats $16,000,000 x 5 years on John Gibson plus Maxime Comtois for Mittelstadt and 2 2nd round picks, Yeah Anaheim passes and it's not even close.

That's not getting Gibson, let alone adding Comtois and asking for 50% retention.............

Stephenson trade isn't good enough to get him either...

Add the 3 1st rounders and I don’t think it happens — way to much money to retain for way to long here big fella

Clearly these trades are viable for the other teams but may I ask a question to the BUF faithful. What do you feel Mitts value is?

He is popping up on varying ACGM yet the authors suggest he holds considerable value.

The kid has potential, but he's just so frustrating. He's been passed by so many on the depth chart. At this point he's almost a reclamation project. He's not gonna get a ton of value, cause the struggles are more than a year long. I don't think ANA even looks at trading Comtois straight up for him.

I say a mid round pick or straight up for another young player in a similar position

I feel he has some value as a 2nd/3rd pick in return though I've seen some put him in trades for CAT lately and thinking to myself, what does BUF feel his value is.....

Thanks for your feedback

A team like ARI would def give up a second or third for him. A team like Vegas would trade a piece like Martinez for him, cause it helps their cap situation and gives them a possible valuable piece. Those are the targets for value IMO

I disagree slightly with Dutchies evaluation. Mitts still has high potential but had his initial NHL start botched by Botterill and started to look better under Granato only to deal with injuries all of last season. To be honest I have little interest in trading him at the valuation of a 2nd or a Martinez type player. In either case it’s more prudent to hold onto him and see if he blossoms this year while healthy.

Thus Mitts is a high potential player with the potential to breakout this upcoming season hence the wild inconsistency in his value on here. Some have soured on him and would dump him for a random reclamation project while others, like myself, would rather just hold onto him and see what happens.

Kubalik’s wild values would be somewhat akin to Mitts. Only Mitts has unproven potential with flashes of greatness while Kubalik had a legitimate year or two and then fell off a cliff.
