I would do that Hawks trade far to easily for them to agree with it.

the 1st is only a bit more than it would cost to dump mrazek, so there’s no real value for dach for chicago, especially since the first is late.

You're not getting assets for Kerfoot, GMs know that the Leafs are tight on cap space and need to trade him.

Rightly so, but I wouldn't pin any hope on it.

Mrazek alone is a 2nd + prospect to dump the upgrade to a 1st doesn't constitute Dach and Kubalik. Maybe Kubalik on his own but certainly not Dach.

Dach is in his D+3 year and missed over a year of development to injuries. He is no where near reclamation project level yet. Wait 2 more years and then you can maybe give him that label

I just don't understand how people think "no instant results= bust"

Thankfully for Dach NHL GM's are far more patient with development. Giving up on a player who just turned 21 a few months before the end of the season is absurd especially given his size/skill combination. He needs to continue to work on his skating and strength which takes time. Other fanbases are usually the ones labeling players busts long before they should ever earn that title. Look at all the people claiming Laf and Kakko are busts, almost none of them are fans of the Rangers, yet they call them that thinking their team can get the player for a nothing return.

Totally disagree. He's a good player, and he has a reasonable expiring contract. Many AGM's move him on here because they want to make UFA signings, but the Leafs will probably not choose to do that. (Justin Holl is in the same boat for the record). Once/If the Leafs trade Mrazek they'll have more than 10 million in cap space, which is lots of work with.

The big issue with Kerfoot is he doesn't seem to fit well on the 2nd line with Tavares. I think it would have benefitted Keefe to try him in more spots last year, but they're just not a fit. He's not a bad player at all, he had an awesome 5-on-5 offensive season last year, way outplayed his cap hit. And once his bonus is paid he's only owed 750k next year. He has tons of value and they aren't going to dump him. They'll only move him if it makes sense.
