Oilers would accept that in a heartbeat if Josh waives his limited NTC which is sure to include Edmonton

Dallas declines. Not getting a 1st Round Pick out of the Stars, especially when there are better options available on the Trade/Free Agent Market

Why would the Canucks trade their best prospect for a tiny improvement on Pearson offensively

Los Angeles isn't trading the developing Kupari for one year of a third-line veteran forward. Kupari has already earned himself a spot on that line.

Literally none of those options are as good as Petry

Yeah lmao, Montour had 37 points on the best team of the reg season while petry had 27 in 13 less games on the worst, he had a decent amount of point under MSL too, on pace for 40 if i recall.

Give me the 23 or the 24 year old RD's on a path to top-4 minutes over the 34 year old on a $6.5M contract until he's 37.

Montour also had a solid year in Florida. Not saying he's "better" than Petry, but for $3M cheaper I'm willing to deal with the slightly worse player that's 6 years younger.

Justin Schultz lmao. Very easy to just say decline when you actually need puck movers and none are available. That is kind of the whole point of puck movers being valuable

I get that as a fan but the owner and GM who think this is a playoff team isn't going to want to give that time to someone. Petry would be the easiest to plug in if they can't resign Kling or Letang
