I don’t think that’s great value for fiala, let alone fiala and talbot. I don’t think zacha is really someone the wild would target honestly. I’d rather they target Dylan strome

I’d do that deal. Would suggest swapping Zacha and Eriksson Ek in lineup tho. Zacha will come in around 3.5m most likely, not 4.5

Detroit doesn't want Jost. Pass.

Ek won’t be moved from the GREEF line, that line was fantastic last season. The idea is Zacha would probably start as 2C and eventually usurp Hartman as 1C. I got the contract numbers from the New Jersey Devils Athletic Beat writer, article they wrote mentioned that number. If it’s lower, that’d be fantastic!

I’ve seen some trades on here with him going to Det. If not Det, then anywhere.

I think it’s going to be difficult to get full value for Fiala with all the scorers entering the market. In this case we get a coveted 2023 first, NJD #4 prospect Thompson, and Zacha a center with promise. I don’t mind it tbh.

It's just not a fit. Detroit needs to add impact players, not depth.

Oh no, I wasn’t arguing, just saying that’s where I got the idea for Det. Saw Det ACGMs trading for Jost. Det can be used as a placeholder then.

Yeah, might be other smaller pieces added, but this framework looks solid for both teams. IMO at least.

Yeah. small tweaks in either direction but looks like a solid starting place. Especially if the Devils are going to move on from Blackwood or miss out on Husso/Campbell/Kuemper

Exactly, this would be a two birds one stone instance for NJ. And not have to commit huge dollars / term to a FA goalie. Give Cam a test run.
