Would be a really nice pickup for STL but Neighbours is the reason Barbashev would be expendable so losing both of them leaves a hole. Would rather it be Barby + NikoMiko + 23oa personally. Could possibly retain on Barby too.

I really hate the CHL agreement with these 19 yr old guys. I get it, CHL is a business and wants to keep as much talent as they can, but I wish they'd renegotiate to give each NHL team one exception each year because Bolduc - like Neighbours last year - should really be in the AHL this year.

Since there's very little chance that Tampa is re-signing Barbashev, I'm treating him as a 1 year rental. Several Blues fans have also told me that retention is not an option, so I've stopped including it. While the 23rd oa is fine, it's not going to be someone that likely helps Tampa for, best case, 2(and probably 3) years from now. Getting one high level, ready or close to ready prospect at a position that Tampa needs/wants will be key if Serg is dealt. I could see Neighbors, Mikkola and 23 oa for Serg and maybe a small add, but losing Neighbors probably kills the deal. If Serg does get made available, more than a few teams will come calling, and Tampa shouldn't have to settle on this trade imo.
