A 3rd rounder sounds like fair value to acquire him.
He has to want out though.

And I want Comrie as backup

I got a feeling Comrie is extending in WPG

What about using Chicago to broker a Bobrovsky deal with retention?

Florida desperate to move his cap hit. this also "weakens" a division rival on the ice.
Chicago going all in for a 5 year rebuild would not be impacted by his cap hit for 4x years.

How much would this cost in assets vs Cam Talbot?
Better to just sign Campbell or Kuemper?
Gibson too expensive to acquire; unless the Leafs are willing to talk about Nylander.

Options are winding down soon; Edmonton now has the cap space to choose who they want in the net.

To me I see 3 things based on the latest report

1. Campbell signs 5mill x 3 or 4 years

2. Leafs trade for Reimer and sign a guy like Holtby to tandem

3. Leafs take on Murray at 50% but get something good out of it (Connor Brown 50%) and then trade for Reimer to be the starter

Wildcard: Toronto trades for Gibson

I don't think Murray is good enough anymore. As for Gibson, the only problem is how much money is owed to him in term. Without retention, a Gibson trade isn't very realistic and frankly, because of the term, retention is not realistic.

And that's not not even getting into what assets it's going to cost to bring him here.

I'm slowly readying myself for either Dubas and Campbell agreeing on something or... it's total nuclear option of having goalies that don't have the experience that true contenders generally have.

That last option is quite scary actually.

I am hoping Husso signing signals Campbell getting less than him.
Husso had better numbers.
