No roster spot and interest for Pearson, particularly at that price

They want a CLEAR CUT Top-6 Winger.

pearson isn't the best choice but he was pretty good in the top 6 this year and the second is tampa bay's in a weaker draft class

He could have been helpful during the rebuild but now it's way too late to acquire him

This is what they have currently :

          Tkachuk - Norris - Batherson
          Formenton - Stutzle - Brown
          Joseph - Pinto - White
          Kelly - Kastelic - Watson
          Gambrell

With Angus Crookshank, Ridly Greig, Viktor Lodin, Roby Jarventie and Egor Sokolov (mainly) pushing for spots.

They want to acquire a Top-6 forward (winger) to play with Stutzle, ideally a LW to push Formenton on the 3rd line to have a great Top-9. I guess they could then buy out White, save his salary and move Joseph to that spot

If they buy out White, they're not going to acquire Pearson.
