Burying $6.4 mil over 2 years seems like an expensive price tag to move up from #44 to #29 for Columbus. I don't think they're the team that takes on Kassian or really any other cap dumps from anyone unless the compensation is outrageous.

barrie for mayfield one for one makes literally no sense for the islanders, they’re not paying 4.5mil for a guy to play on the third pair.

Why on earth would TB remotely consider trading a top young RD prospect for an LTIR contract, and if it isn't LTIR no chance TB can afford this contract it would be absolute GM malpractice.

On paper, "2nd for 1st and Kassian" might appear nice. When you look at the details, tho, I don't think taking on that cap dump is adequately compensated by a jump from #44 to #29.

In the OHL last season 21 g 36 a 57 pts in 76gp
he's a top RD prospect on an ELC that probably see's time for TB next year . still it is utterly useless to take on an LTIR contract unless it helps you shed massive salary an elc isn't that!! say he was just an ahler instaed of a 20 year old top rd prospect all that trade would do is put TB on the hook for the uninsured portion of klefboms contract it WOULDN'T CREATE ANY CAP SPACE!!!! making this trade for TB would be as i said earlier GM MALPRACTICE!!!
