I have no idea if Monahan could "bounce back" on the wing but the Center line could/should be filled for a long time in Ottawa

The contract is for one year, Monahan played for the 67's, and its not like Ottawa is at the cap, so this trade makes some sense. He could be a good mentor who has been slowed by injuries and at worst can give some secondary scoring in a 3rd line role. Also they get rid of Del Zotto. Trade makes sense.
