I know too little about Källgren to have informed opinion on Devils deal. I do doubt NJD trade Blackwood unless they land a true #1 though. From everything Fitzgerald has said publicly, it sounds like they will add a goalie to compete with MackBlack.

I’m down to trade him if there is a true starter available

Hard pass from Detroit. We're not trading Mrazek's contract off your books without significant compensation.

What is significant compensation may I ask? I dont understand why people think it would take any more than maybe 2nd round pick.

An A level asset (late 1st or high end prospect) or 2 B+ assets (early 2nd round picks or above average prospects)

He can't stay healthy, has a questionable attitude, 2 years left on his deal and it was back loaded, so 8.6m of REAL money is still owed. That is not a cheap cap dump to move.

There are FAR worse contracts than that which got moved for less, so yea I cant imagine the Leafs giving up a high asset to move on from him. At that point its just worth it to keep him or buy him out.

Personally, I think the Leafs should just keep him and ride it out. I'm not saying that it's a great move for the Leafs to pay that cost to move him, just that's what the cost should be.
