The first is fine. No protection though. You can keep the rest. You must really like their trajectory to include them on the trade if it's for a player like Fiala so you better not trade them. They will make the Wild a worse team. so I am good with just the 1st

Minnesota declines again. A bunch of nothing pieces and potential 1st round pick in 3 draft doesn't get you fiala. Minnesota will seek right now draft picks and better pieces

I would do unprotected 2023 first if that's the market. No need for the Wild to take players that make their team worse though

Losing Fiala is going to make the team worse. That’s pretty unavoidable

A 35-40 point winger and the Devils #5 prospect isn't "nothing," but we can have a discussion about changing some of those pieces around to different prospects or picks. As for the 2023 1st, the Devils aren't gonna be trading an unprotected 1st in next year's draft. It's just not gonna happen. It's totally possible Ottawa offers you guys the 7th pick this year because of how interested Dorion seemingly is and if so, so be it but multiple Wild fans have said a deal around this framework is pretty close in value, so I'm happy with it.

I still don’t get the fascination with fiala, he is a great player but he is not the kind of player we need right now, would match rather overpay Forsberg or something to come over than trade premium assets for fiala

Devils should steer clear of Forsberg. Biggest candidate IMO to regress outside of his previous team

Unless Forsberg is WAY overpaid,I dont see why he'd choose Jersey. You still have to attract the free agent and Jersey doesn't have a history of doing, it's not a luxury so you invest in trade as the alternative. That's like saying they just need to find another Panarin and Fox to sign with them, The Rangers have that advantage NOT the Devils
