Dubas needs to do something big......and trading for Kane in the next month would push the Leafs over the top to win a Stanley Cup and Kane would be onboard as he wants no part of the rebuild in Chicago.


There was a leak, its not uncommon. KD showcasing his ability as a leader addressed the matter privately. We can ill afford to be handing out more favours. You had that when Stan was here for years, should have taken your chance then....

if the leafs get bounced in the first round the next 2 years why would he want to stay?
so he can hear how he can't lead a team?
he signed the shortest contract possible to walk him to UFA ... think about that.

Muzzin doesn’t add value to the deal. That’s a gross underpay for Kane. Of course you don’t think it is lol

Don't kid yourself.....The NHL operates somewhat like an Oldboy's Network where GM's and Owners will trade a favour periodically.......Kane's is getting older and is getting close to UFA status......so no team is going to pay a king's ransom.....when they can just wait a bit longer and get him for free.

Are you kidding.......Muzzen can be traded himself by the Hawks for a prospect and draft picks.

He is much better staying on a competitive team like Toronto where he is setting records, winning awards and getting paid well.

Lol, are you kidding? An aging, oft injured and deteriorating defensemen w/ 2 years left at 5.6m cap hit isn't worth a ton. You'd probably be able to get a mid pick for him and be happy that you cleared the cap space. You're not getting prospects and picks for him from anybody. Keep dreamin!

Colorado lost in 2nd round last year and now won the Cup this year......like the Leafs next year.
