Two big overpays for PJ and DeBrusk. Instead of spending 8.3m on those two guys., you could sign two comparable UFA for just a bit more cap and keep those two first rounders.

There is no shot the Ducks offer sheet anyone that would require them to give up a shot at Bedard, especially not a division rival. That OS alone would be enough to get Pat Verbeek fired for me

You just can't sign a UFA and then trade him. The message that sends league wide to all players is NEVER sign with Anaheim because they might just flip you to some random team. It's bad, bad business.
