I agree with you on Johnsson and Tatar. But why couldn’t they pay DeBrincat?

didn't even reach .4 points a game and is making 4.5 mil. He would be taking the spot of a younger guy who could get the same amount of points for a fraction of the price.

That debrincat trade is comical. Gonna cost a hell of a lot more than a first in a draft class that isn’t very good

Marty is the best ever.

Trades are so-so.
Johnsson and Tatar don't have a ton of value, but certainly not negative value. (Mango, after bonuses, is only making league minimum next year)
DeBrincat trade looks okay.
Boqvist could get a 2nd rounder, but more like 3rd or similar aged player.
Wood's value is super-low right now, so this would be on cheaper end for Mangiapane. But if Wood proves healthy, it looks okay. But I think 6 x $6.3m is too much of a contract.

Also, Marty is the best ever.

second overall pick for a dude who is a free agent after one year plus cooley and slafovsky are legit prospects that could easily be better than debrincat when their careers are over
