Description
I know, I know - you guys aren't trading Bratt. I wouldn't either. Don't kill me pls :) Just thought it would be interesting to see this scenario. Got in my head b/c Friedman mentioned last time Devils & Bratt negotiated it was a grinding, tough process and he thinks both sides are gearing up for another brutal negotiation (not that he thinks it won't get done but it'll take longer than it probably should). So with that rumor / assumption - what if Devils decide to move him and go after another young player like Cat, Fiala or somebody like Pasta. Anyways, I know you guys don't want to move him and likely won't but wanted to check it out..

Devils have absolutely no reason to move Bratt, kid is a pure stud that’s gonna flourish on that team.

Yep, I realize that - it's in description.

I don't think the value is that terrible, but I question the need. NJ's RHDs are pretty much set, they have good centers already and they're looking to get better now.

Plus I think CAR should target a more power forward -ish guy. Bratt has a great skillset, but that team is already full of similar kind of players.

yeah, that's fair - figured Devils are probably set at RHD but maybe they can use some of the assets from this trade combined w/ what they have to go after Cat or Pasta?

On Canes - we just need elite talent in top 6 who can put puck in net. Power forward would be nice but just need more consistent goal scoring imo.

Debrincat should be your main target in that case

Idk if we have the ammo for it tho. Necas morrow a first and a second? Could throw Bear in too. Not sure if that gets it done

I also don't think the value is terrible. But I think the rumors are more than likely a contract negotiation thing.

Bratt is highly unlikely to be dealt.
But I'll play along anyway...

I do not think Morrow would be high on our list as we have Hamilton, Severson, Luke Hughes, Ty Smith, Mukhamadullin, Walsh all of which would overlap a lot of what Morrow would bring.

I would think Gunler, Kochetkov would be more fitting for NJD needs. Jackson Blake would also be of interest.

Or, we'd just ask for Jarvis

Good value, just doesn’t make sense for the devils to move one of the few proven wingers they have

In this hypothetical I'd be happy to swap Morrow out with some combo of Gunler, Blake or Makieniemi (sp?) Jarvis not so much smile
