There is no reason for us to try and get the second overall pick, especially at that price! We will be contenders for a long ways to go and aren’t trading for future assets.

Not remotely the same in Bader's model. Don't see this without Kochetkov imo. But I'm not GM of the Devils.

Interesting post but I’m not sure about going this route. Would rather load up on proven talent than take a shot at 2OA

Love the outside-the-box thought...but I feel like Carolina would be giving too much in "win now" assets for a contending team and Devils too much "win later" assets for a building club.
