16OA and a 3C is a decent package in my opinion, what could the Sens offer that you think is better but not too much?

Lol teams leak this kind of fake info all the time. They tell lebrun to tweet out "we've turned down serious offers" in a weak attempt to increase the value of the mediocre offers they are receiving.

The Sabres did this with the Golden Knights. Leaked it through Kevin Weeks that Flames were offering Tkachuck in order to get them to increase their offer for Eichel.

Which I do, and I can say confidently they haven't specified any package that may or may not have been offered, just that there have been offers and none have been good enough yet.

What I'm saying is I don't believe any of them were a better package than this

I’ve seen this offer a dozen or so times and I think both sides like it a lot, not sure how you’d feel if it beats it

2023 first (probably protected 10), one of Lassi/Lodin/Ostapchuk, and Brannstrom

I personally think the sens make a strong push next year but probably get bounced round 1 or just miss

I floated one idea awhile ago that was met with mixed reception: what about 7OA + Zaitsev for Konecny? I'd argue it's better value for the Sens overall and it meets a more pressing need for the Flyers

You wouldn’t have to beat it,
bc there’s no way the Sabres would make it

Sabres decline

No interest at that price- none
And we probably don’t have much to begin with as we have a Vince of young forwards/prospects, particularly on the wing

Also, you’re overvaluing Konecny imo

You could take the deal and flip him for a better return, he is definitely worth more than that. Age, contract, 2-way abilities, his rate of growth puts him in the path to have a breakout year at 26 like Marchand, Bertuzzi, Nylander, Miller, etc… honestly, would be a cheap deal for you guys

Konecny is absolutely not worth more than “Mittelstadt + pick16
He’s not even worth more than pick16
Heck, he’s not even worth pick16 !

And if he was, then u shouldn’t be trading him

He’s a good 2nd line forward, but not a “great” one
Doesn’t put the puck in the net enough

He’s a playmaker with high 2-way abilities and not afraid to grind. He’s a heart and soul player projecting for a big year. He’s easily worth 16, a B prospect and a bottom 6/ 3rd pair player. Don’t be silly

I’m not saying he’s trash, but….
50 point players who don’t score 20goals are worth a late 1st rounder imo- at most

Seems to me like your basing his value on what u project he will become, vs what he currently has shown to be

Im basing value off what he did last year on a team that was plagued with injures and he played with four different centres over the year and after AV was fired he started to show the player he was two years ago. Every Flyer did actually. Their production was trash under a terrible coach and then rose.

For the last 2 seasons, Konecny has played at a pace of under 20goals & just over 50pts

Great that i think coaching is to blame
But his ONE really good season THREE YEARS AGO simply is not the standard by which his value is to be determined

And AGAIN….
if he’s worth what you’re saying, then wtf are u trading him for?
As u said, he’s still young & can be around for a rebuild if u guys go that way

Regardless….
17goals & 52pts doesn’t get u anywhere close to the value you’re thinking he has

Sabres 100% decline the proposed trade
ZERO chance it happens- none
