That would be an everything else fell though, or Fiala won't sign anywhere long term. I'm low on Necas though, and he'll cost more cap than MN can afford without making other moves.

Can prob get him around 3.5 on a bridge. Is that too much to take on during buyout years?

We can rule Forsberg out. He has the same agent as Hamilton

They $6.5m to sign Middleton ($2m x 3), a lineup FWD, a backup goalie ($2m-$3m), and add another pressbox FWD ($850k-ish). They could forgo the pressbox FWD to open up that little bit of cap. So a $2m-$2.5m lineup FWD is the max, without having to dump cap.

Their cap really comes down to how much they spend on a backup goalie. There are lots of cheap goalie, and a few good goalies. Finding a cheap ($2m or less) and good backup goalie isn't easy.

Ideally, Fiala would be traded for an ELC with three years remaining. Someone like Holtz fits the mold to a tee.
