Nichushkin's contract is a little light ....but i like it all. Make it happen.

If Kerfoot is a nice top 6 forward, why is Toronto trading him just so they can sign a more expensive top 6 forward. Conversely, if someone is looking for a nice top 6 forward, why not just sign Nichushkin themselves and save themselves 2 draft picks?

they would rather have a full time LW instead of a center play the position. plus an upgrade over him would be nice

That group confuses me, the prime reason I hear for doing that is to up his production because he's getting slow, but if they aren't getting someone that is better than him in the faceoff circle or just as good then the Leafs would be missing that. I don't think they can get such a player at this time.

On the other hand, getting a winger that can potentially produce more than Kerfoot or allow Nylander to produce more is doing the same thing without sacrificing first possession.

just an off year for JT imo. that was wuite an injury he had to recover from. im not saying hes going to return to superstar form. but i think he will be better next year. maybe two years down the line they can move him to the wing
