Forsberg probably gets 1M more. Don’t love giving Mikheyev that much money

Also why is Poolman on the first pair?

Pearson doesn’t fill the isles need for a top line winger even if I like the player

Good point, felt Mik $ was a little high, there’s cap room to add another $1m to Forsberg.

Re: Poolman, him and Hughes played well together but the D pairs can go into a blender, lots of options there.

Sure, it’s more about offloading his contract to anyone for a mid-round pick

I would say if you are off loading then a team will not give you a third round pick. If you are off loading then you are probably getting back an off loaded contract unless you are sending assets to level out the off load.

Filip Forsberg isn't taking anything less than $9,500,000 x 7 years on the open market.

You can probably do better on the J. T. Miller trade front than that.

Forsberg 9.5x7
Poolman is most likely LTIR
Mikheyev deal is risky
Myers (1.25M retained) for a 4th is fair

it's a cap dump, all i see on everyone's posts are "my team doesn't want this guy" it's an example, basically they're saying i'm getting rid of money.

What is a fair trade for Miller from CAR in your opinion?

Pearson isn't a camp dump, he's just not a stylistic fit for where the team is trying to go, not the same thing

That IS fair Carolina trade, Canes fans just don't want to lose Necas

Poolman and Hughes did not play that well together. That said, Poolman was still very serviceable when he was healthy

Pearson will fetch a 3rd without salary retention or Vancouver taking back money

Miller is 30 and will want a long term deal for $8M+. No way he gets that extension from CAR. The Canes won’t use Necas (or a 1st, etc.) for what would essentially be a rental. They wouldn’t trade him for 5yrs of Eichel for goodness’ sake.

Not sure why that still needs to be explained

The question was what you think a fair trade would be, regardless of your opinion on whether they should trade for him.

Not sure why that still needs to be explained

What’s the point of discussing a trade from a CAR point of view that will never happen?

The point is this is exactly why people use this site, to suggest trade ideas, 98% of them won’t happen. It’s suppose to be fun, my guess is you are concerned about suggesting a trade for Miller because you would get roasted and would rather crap on others.

I would rightly get roasted, as no trade of Miller to CAR makes sense. That’s my point.

And some of this Miller to CAR pipe dreams just need to be crapped on.
