Kane deal is probably declined. Gotta think he gets more especially with Hawks retaining 50%.

Although I agree, if KD is heading full rebuild and moving CAT then theres a strong chance Kaner goes too. May need to remove the 3rd or add Kravtsov or something but its basis to open discussion none the less.

hawks keep the 3rd, add Kravtsov or a 2nd and that looks like a deal that could happen

I think KK + a 1st gets it done for 1 year of Kane at 50% retained personally; again, only if Cat is moved

KK isn't exactly lighting it up with the Rangers, they scratched him in their final playoff game.
I'd hope the Hawks can get more than a guy with 58 career points over 3 seasons and a draft pick in the 20-32 range for still one of the top players in the game.

Yeah, but Kane is obviously only a rental and I just don't see Kane pulling in more then a late 1st and a top young player/prospect mainly because he will probably have only one or two teams he would waive for.

I've watched a lot of KK and like Dach, they haven't developed to expectations by any means but I still think both players were rushed into NHL action and both dealt with wrist surgeries. I would expect both of them to have a much better year next year. Also think we could do better developing KK then NY given the new direction of the Hawks. In other words, just like Dach, I'm not sold that KK won't be a top line impact player yet despite the struggles and if he becomes that, then it's worth it for the Hawks. Given the rebuild, we have to take risks and this is one I'd take.

Good points, our leverage is weakened due to that. Although id like more, if that was the eventual return my disappointment would only be about Showtime leaving.
