I don’t expect that during his rookie season, but if he does, no sweat off my back. Either way, we should have 2 D that can run the PP very well, no real need for a third.

Would be the toews makar theory, not sure pionk can cover the defensive zone like toews, but could be a interesting partner for power.

If you think Blackwood bounces back, why would we trade for Hellebuyck and not someone way cheaper like Vanecek

Blackwood bounces back in a limited role, backup less pressure, wins some games he’s not supposed to, gets in the 25/35 games ish and plays well and stays healthy. A lot depends on who the partner will be, my thought is helly for two years and see where your at with blackwood/ and a goalie drafted or cheap free agents are at. Instead of 5x3.5 to 6 on husso/Campbell/kuemper. Work in progress over jetting in a big money free agent. But no perfect plans.

I'm not sure the Leafs would want to do that deal. Muzzin is better than Dillon and Sandin/Robertson is not a package that would land you a guy like Demelo. I get they're trading Mrazek too but I don't think that's really a move Toronto wants to make.

I like Demelo but the Leafs have had opportunities to acquire him before (he seems like a great fit) and they've never jumped on it so maybe they don't see the fit. They might look at him this offseason, but only if they want to move on from Holl and trade a Sandin/Liljegren type for goaltending or forward help. RHD is not a massive need right now.

I was going on the premise that muzzin was out, and questionable on coming back, life of a warrior and Dillon was his replacement and jets had the cap room for muzzin and mrazek and the kids to make it worthwhile.

Not sure where that premise would come from, but he was healthy in the playoffs and was probably their best defenceman, so he's not the cap dump that some people on here think he is. I don't think the Leafs want to move those young players unless it's a massive return.

Yeah I feel like management is not quite ready to give up on Blackwood and will probably give him at least the start of next year. I think they just try and get a 1B guy and I feel Vanecek is probably most likely

Possibly a husso and outbid or out term a guy, blackwood may win the gig back by Christmas. Goalie such a weird science

Same track record as the guys your buying high on, how do you think Campbell got to Toronto and husso in the playoffs, kuemper got to colorado. I know what’s happening in jersey, there’s a large hole at number 1 and a couple guys that have ptsd from all the shrapnel they have seen in the last few years. Blackwood bounces back is my prediction, and I think daws is a few years away from decent. Husso and Campbell are not moving the needle too far, both want term and going to be mrazek type anchors, kuemper I’m not a fan of, he’s massive, and not overly athletic, so I question the term and dough for him. But I’m no goaltending coach.

Massive and not very athletic is describing Hellebuyck to a tee... 😆🤣

If power comes in as billed, going to give dahlin a run for his money, not a bad problem to have by any means.

Here's hoping.
