im not moving all of that for Chychrun. He is insanely overrated and just not worth it. I would do Wilde+2023 protected 1st. not all of that

AZ's ask is too high but that offer is incredibly low. Age/term left on his contract is going to dictate more than that for sure

If rather spend $6m on someone better than Vatrano (like Burakovsky or Nichuskin) but overall a solid team and not one I would complain about

I don’t think Lou wants to get into a bidding war in free agency. He is going to have to sign Barzal and Whalstrom for next year. He probably wants to have extra cap space at the trade deadline in case of injury

Roughly speaking they'll still have over $17m in cap space to get that done with a $6m player signed instead. But regardless of which player gets signed this summer I think Palmieri is a candidate to get traded by next year to 1) save cap space but more importantly 2) free up a roster spot for Holmstrom/Raty (assuming they are still on the team)

Also, the cap space accrues towards the trade deadline. So $1.96m balloons up to over $8.5m in available trade deadline cap space if Lou wanted to get something done.

I agree with not spending that much on Vatrano when Burakovsky and Nichuskin are not far off price wise. But, I don't think this lineup addresses the issues from last year. Trusting Salo is a risky move - especially when he couldn't get into the lineup at the end of the season and scoring has not been added. You have removed 28 goals (Bailey and Beau) and replaced them with Vatrano - 18 goals.

i am not willing to overpay for him when someone like Dunn would be much cheaper. Beau is only getting moved if he is the primary piece, which isnt happening. Chychrun is worth a mid to late 1st and a solid B prospect. Not more imo

OTT declines.

Ya know how NYI fans hate seeing Leaf fans sending them Muzzin?

Sens fans feel the same way about Bailey to OTT.

OTT will not pay for Bailey. OTT is interested in age approrpriate, top6W with term.

Where do you play him?

Formenton - Stutzle - Batherson
Tkachuk - Norris - Joseph
Brown - Pinto - White
Kelly - Kastelic - Watson
Gambrell

Sens want to acquire a CLEAR Top-6 Winger too

Greig, Crookshank, Lodin, Sokolov, Jarventie waiting for a call-up

Let's say whoever they take at 7th OA would still be in development with Ostapchuk, Boucher, etc

White gets bought out because he can't play without getting hurt.

The 4th round pick is expendable because we wouldn't have it if Logan Brown didn't play 30 games in the regular season.

Ok I can live with that. I like White but numbers game, makes too much salary and we need more veterans

Ok so now if we acquire Kevin Fiala or Claude Giroux, how do you do it?

I don't know why most people want to trade Brown, I suppose it's because he's UFA at the end of the season

But let's not forget that he has had the most ice-time among Sens forwards for 3 straight seasons, over guys like Pageau, Tkachuk, Norris, Batherson and Stutzle.

I'm not sure what is going to happen but I don't think they'd trade Brown to basically replace him by Bailey

I wouldn't dump Bailey for nothing so that you can sign Vatrano. Doesn't make us better
