I don't see how brown who is a middle six winger (dime a dozen position) holds significantly more value than a right shot puck mover (been the most premium position in the trade market for countless years.)

Barrie isn’t very good. Everyone would want Brown on their team

oh nevermind i see what your saying, barries defensive end lacks a lot, and his offensive production has dropped off. No need for him anymore especially with bouchard.

Does nobody pay attention Barrie just had a very solid year was much better defensively than his first year in Edmonton I'd say most consistent d threw the playoffs.

Since when has Barrie not been good? He has an excellent resume.

Exactly. A lot of AGM's saying we wouldn't get anything for Barrie. Wrong.

barrie is one of my favourite players, but we have absolutely no need for him anymore.

u could also add morgan geekie in the trade to strengthen the bottom six

What is it with Barrie if he puts up huge points fans refuse to show him any respect for it and just credit McDavid. If Barrie plays solid in his own zone it's all kulak.... how about we start showing him the respect he's earned. Very likely wouldn't have gotten past the first round if it wasn't for Barrie.

lots of people put respect on Barrie, your right he did awesome defensively in the playoffs, but for 4.5 million its best we get a better defensive dman. Our biggest problem is d and goaltending, we have bouch for pp1 qb. The whole idea behind Barrie was to let him run our pp, now we have a very young offensive defensemen who's better then Barrie in almost every category. players have roles, and barries is filled as sad as it is.
