With Backstrom being out for the next season (I think his career is done. He;s getting the same injury that Kessler had and he's has been forced into retirement due to it) They need a center that can fit into the top 2 lines and think miller can be the player. Now both Samsonov and Vanecek have both been rumors and one or the other seems to be gone this offseason i went with Samsonov because Vanecek had a better season last year. a first and McMichael because i think Lapierre will have the better career with Washington

Don’t remember if I said that - maybe I did in a separate offer but that was likely more related to the value in the trade versus not moving him in any circumstance. I’m still high on Sammy so I don’t think they should move on from him between him and VV. If the deal makes sense they can move him but this is too much for miller with both him and McM.

Miller will cost Lapierre, Iorio, and a 1st maybe another pick too. But, Johansen and Samsonov do not fill the Canucks needs

This team would be no different than the last four years. Not enough change imo. Eller and Hagelin need to be gone. Lappy wont be ready. Would be shocked if Schultz is back. Overpaid VV and a VV holtby tandem would suck

I wouldn't trade any of this for a left wing. He'd better play 2C. Why is he acquired to play wing here?
