Description
THIS IS PURLY HYPOTHETICAL SO DONT ACT LIKE I JUST RUINED YOUR DAY IN THE COMMENTS

this trade is done IF LA WANTS TO GET CHYCHRUN BUT A DEAL CANT BE REACHED
so leafs send muzzin to arizona who retain 50% and sends him to LA for something small.

its not a massive deal like i see other leafs fans doing who take on a package involving roy. its just two mid round picks.

not saying its going to happen or even makes sense. just a different way to go about a muzzin trade.

id even have the leafs retain a million then LA has muzzin at 1.8 million. but even if i did that id still be sent to the gulag
Trades
1.
TOR
ARI
  1. Muzzin, Jake
Additional Details:
traded to arizona retained who retain 50% of his salary who then trades muzzin to LA who failed to get chychrun. LA gets muzzin at 2.8 million. instead of 5,6. leafs get a small return in return.

BEFORE YOU KILL ME IN THE COMENTS FOR THIS FEDERAL CRIME I JUST COMMITED

what options do the leafs have trading muzzin 50% retained by a third party to they have. muzzin has to waive his NTC first so teams in the mid west like the wild would definitely not be a place he would like to go
2.
TOR
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (PIT)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (LAK)

Thanks for understanding how far-fetched this scenario is, and why we Los Angeles fans would be so touchy about it.

LA doesn't really want to give up anything for Muzzin. At his full cap hit, he has negative value. At 50% retention, he's worth future considerations.

The Kings aren't interested in giving up futures for him. At best, they'd swap a guy like Walker for him so the trade would be essentially cap neutral, and they'd be moving out a guy from a position of strength for a guy at a position of weakness.

The only way the Kings would consider something like is if Toronto is the team that compensates Arizona for retaining 50% of Muzzin's salary, not LA. The Kings would then take on Muzzin from Arizona in exchange for Sean Walker.

Yep, just what Muzzin wants with his NTC to waive it to go to a bottom feeder team that doesn't even have an NHL rink to play in.

    Do you read?

He’s traded to Arizona who retains his salary and is then shipped to LA. It says it in the trade details.
