Honest question because I don’t watch the Jets. Has Schmidt improved his play on the left side? I know he struggled in Vegas on that side & favored RD.

He played both sides and was half decent this year. The main problem is that the coaching staff put him all over the place and not as a 1RD and he is too expensive for the third pairing

That’s fair, Schmidt would only be on the left side in Detroit so that is a major concern of mine considering his AAV puts him in top 35-40 defensemen.

As for the Panthers trade I think you’re either overvaluing Wheeler or undervaluing Weegar.

Wheeler at 6M is a decent contract. 60 points in 65 games is good enough
