Massive overpayment for Fiala, and Minnesota can't afford Boeser nor do they need anymore Wingers even without Fiala

Bear shouldn't be offersheeted

And why on Earth would the Panthers do that trade?

Fair enough on Fiala deal

Bear is signed after he becomes UFA

Panthers do that trade to clear cap space

Kings aren't interested in a rental, nor would they trade such a package if they were. More teams are desperate for a center, and the Kings have no wish to mitigate the Canucks cap woes.

Canucks don't really have very many cap woes, so not sure what you're referring to, and Miller wouldn't be a rental for the Kings

Why exactly would the dump Weegar to do so?

If you're implying that Bear signs as a non-tendered UFA, you shouldn't sign him via the offersheet mechanism, it's misleading due to the compensation going the other way

Alright, then keep Miller this season and flip him at the deadline if the Canucks aren't a playoff team.

my b

and as for weegar, if the canucks take on net cap then there needs to be some benefit to them. as far as i can tell florida will be all-in next season, and will need cap space to bring on more players. Theyre sitting at 3 million in cap space with 6 roster spots to fill

so you don't think the kings would want a full season of miller?

I just don't see why they'd move Weegar before moving a number of other players in order to clear cap space

The Kings weren't even interested in a rental at the deadline when they were in a playoff spot. Blake is a conservative GM, he probably doesn't even go after the big-name free agents which we could afford. Someone will overpay for Miller, and sign him to a big contract because they are dying for a center (even if he excels at wing). But it won't be us. If you are the Kings you aren't pumped to see Durzi or your multiple firsts come back to haunt you this year and the years going forward for one year of Miller, I mean that return is closer to what teams are asking for Debrincat.

The whole reason why Minnesota would be dealing Fiala is because they can't afford him, so they aren't going to trade him for the virtually-as-expensive Boeser.
