Yeah easy Rangers decline. Laffy’s got more talent. The issue isn’t the talent. It’s the team. Rangers can’t develop F’s if their lives depended on it. Wright on the Rangers would honestly be worse than Laffy here. Saying nothing about the players themselves. But the development coaches are like Tanner Glass and Jed Ortmeyer.

Rangers aren't that bad at developing forwards. They just dont get playing time to put up points, but the play is there. Laf easily would've scored 60 pts this year if he and panarin switched spots on PP1. But the rangers aint going to do that, bc panarin is still better. Kakko doesnt get special team time for whatever reason, and played 4th line minutes under DQ. You cant develop top 6 players on the 3rd and 4th line and give them no PP time. The rangers try doing and then people criticize the players when they put up bottom 6 point totals. Their young defensemen, they do the opposite strategy and throw them into the fire and look how great they develop.

Um, deployment is one of the biggest aspects of development at the NHL level. So you explaining how bad the Rangers are at deploying their young F's is reiterating the point that they are bad at developing their young F's. You can extrapolate this to the ones that they don't even care to give bottom 6 minutes too because they're not lottery picks like Lias or Kravtsov. It's just bad all around. Goodrow played more minutes/game than any Ranger F under 27 years old. Just embarrassing from the top down.
