Additional Details:
Hypothetically Foresberg decides to not sign with Nashville, they will be looking for scoring. I’ve seen on Twitter that Preds fans are interested in Olofsson and would trade Tolvanen for him. BUF trades Olofsson bc it’s been reported that he’s not in the future plans. Getting a younger player in return makes sense, along with a 2nd.

We're not prepared to pass on Dach at this stage. Will get a good opportunity this year if can't stay healthy (which has been a struggle due to wrist surgery mainly) and complete a full pre-season.

Only offers that blow us away would be enough to acquire him at this point and I don't think you guys need to do that.

Not sure on where Mitts is within regards to your depth and where you feel his development is tho from the outside he looks as though a change of scenery could be needed, he's been around 2 more years than Dach and in 2 years if Dach was still putting out the same output I would put him in the category I find Mitts in.

Honestly at this point, just give the Canes either a 2nd or 3rd for Bear and call it a day. At the end of the day, it clears up an SPC slot for better additions.

Sounds pretty similar to my view on Mittelstadt honestly. He was slated to be our 1C over Tage out of training camp and then got injured first game of the season. When he finally got healthy he was playing some pretty good hockey, his line was out best at times late in the season. I think if he can stay healthy he will put up ~55 points next season as our 2C.

That makes sense but at the same time, Dach is projected to be a 60 to 70 point center, but like Mitts, will he reach that potential? I don't know, but what I do know is I'd rather have the 21 year old over the 23 year old especially given a 3 to 5 year rebuild.

Yeah, I’m not advocating for this trade to go through. I also believe Mitts still has 60-70 point potential, the 55 is my expectation if he stays healthy, not his ceiling. I don’t think this trade is something either team would easily agree to, I think the Sabres organization is much higher on Mitts than the majority of fans are.
